I’m in college right? This is the time to try new things to determine whether I like them? Given that I’m allergic to everything, I’ve always been the indoors type. I’ll take a book over a bike any day. So when a friend sung praises about this place called The Outside, I thought I’d give it a shot. What do I have to lose? A few pounds? I wouldn’t miss them.
I didn’t want to go out there alone, so I spoke with a few of my friends at U.T. Austin and we’ve formed an exploratory crew. We’re all reporters, so naturally, we’re compelled to share our stories with you.
This blog will be about our experiences exploring The Outside. We’re going to try and stick to a few main topics:
Priscilla will take us into the darkness of night, exploring haunted hotels and more.
Aurora plans to travel on the cheap to beaches and other fun places. (Hopefully not to Galveston.)
I (Vanessa) will wine but probably not dine you in the daylight at Texas’s historically significant spots.
Stephanie and Laura will hike and bike through the greenbelts.
And Chris will immerse himself in bodies of water on jet skis, canoes, and tubes on the quest for fun in the sun.
We’ll be on the lookout for student discounts too.
